Sun National Bank has its roots in southern New Jersey. Through the efforts of its still active Chairman of the Board Bernard A. Brown, Sun celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2005 and today is a multi-billion dollar bank.
In the 1980s, Mr. Brown and a group of local investors assumed control of Citizens Investments, Inc. of Medford, NJ. Under Mr. Brown’s leadership as chairman of the board, the financial services company grew to become Sun Bancorp, with its primary subsidiary Sun National Bank.
Sun National Bank opened its doors for the first time in Medford, NJ, in 1985. Shortly thereafter, Sun opened a location at 226 Landis Avenue in Vineland, NJ, which today still stands as its corporate headquarters. Today, Sun has 65 locations in New Jersey, and serves both individual and business customer needs with a full-range of banking products services, delivered by bankers who know your name.
